A Bigfork School snowshoeing trip took a turn for the worse when a cornice collapsed injuring two students. The students were on a field trip near the continental divide when the accident happened. Two Bear Air Rescue responded to the area and inserted a Paramedic and EMT. The crew stabilized the injured students until Alert Air Ambulance arrived and were able to land near the victims. One student was transported by Alert Helicopter to Kalispell Regional Hospital and a second was transported by Two Bear Air Rescue.
